So Close, Yet So Far Away
Tomorrow for the first time me and Lindsey will go to the Daytona 500. The secretary at church (Teresa) her husband gave us tickets. So we will take full advantage of them. Say a little prayer for us...we know how to get to the track, we know our way around but we just have no idea about the parking situation. I did get some information from the newspaper but that's it. The traffic as always is expected to be terrible. It should be exciting though!!!

Call To Arms - Angels and Airwaves
When Lindsey and I first meet one of the first concerts I invited her to go see with me was Angels and Airwaves. They were suppose to play an outdoor show in Clearwater...unfornatetly the show was cancelled due to rain and the stage started sinking into the ground. Now about 2 years later they came back around to Orlando last night and played an awesome show at the Hard Rock Love.
Angels and Airwaves is headed by Tom Delonge (Blink 182). Don't let that fool you though, they sound nothing like or act nothing like Blink. They put on a great show to say the least. The opening bands were kind of dragging but that all changed when AVA took the stage around 10:00PM. The lighting throughout the performance was incredable as they used many different types of LCD lighting. I couldn't believe the passion and stamina of the drummer either. The whole night he played with his whole heart and he is probably one of the best drummers in the music industry today. I am encouraged by what AVA stands for (changing the world) but believe there is still more to it then getting up on a stage and singing about it.
We sat up in the balcony and probably a good thing because Lindsey was really tired. Even so she doesn't like Angles and Airwaves too much she still went to the show with me and that's why I love her so much. She is still willing to do things I like even so she doesn't like them...I guess that's what having a relationship with someone is all about. She even bought me a shirt!!!!!

save the date!
well, if you're reading this and you still haven't heard. andy and i are tying the knot-above you will find a preview of our "save the date" card. it's pretty fun and designed by me, because i love pictures! our date is october 25th, in new smyrna beach, florida. we hope that you have stayed safe and busy this new year, not losing the focus of why we're here.
church service this past sunday was incredible! we jumped in numbers from an average of 55 to 74! we had to bring in more chairs! andy made a great video on service and ben delivered the message with a lot of passion. please don't pass up on the opportunities that God gives you throughout the week to serve him! remember when we do it for the least of these we are doing it for him! well have a blessed week and check back soon.

8 days of 2008
we did get to go to EPCOT and renew our passes! spaceship earth is reopened and it's pretty entertaining at the end of the ride with a touch screen interface and then an animated future-featuring you! test track was shut down and the wait for soarin' was nearly three hours! we still had a good time and toured the countries!!
we also got good news about our job situations-after this sunday we will know for sure. andy will be hired full time as the associate minister and i will hopefully become the part time children's minister! i'm still trying to figure school out-and would love to get back and finish my degree!!
wedding planning is more underway now that we've entered 2008, and i've been looking for a spot to hold the reception dinner-i also need to decide on food for the reception-you'd think that food is usually what brings people together and i would have an easy time figuring this out...but here i am!
well, hopefully your year is off to a great start!!
